Measurement Guide
Measuring yourself can be challenging at first. So, it's advisable to have another person to assist you in the process. Before you get started, you'll need a tape measure and a body length mirror to guarantee the best results.
Bust
Measurement
Wear a well-sized bra before measuring
Before measuring your bust area, start by wearing a well-sized supportive bra. Then, wrap the tape measure around your chest - making sure to cover the fullest point of your bust. While standing in front of the mirror, make sure your arms are down by your side and that the tape measure is parallel with the floor. Once the tape measure is well positioned, take a deep breath before recording the measurement.
Waist
Measurement
Remove supportive garments
When measuring your waist, make sure to remove all supportive garments that may alter your exact measurement. Start by identifying the precise position of your waistline. You can do this by leaning over to one side and feeling for your pelvis bone. For most people, the waistline will be somewhere around the top of your pelvis bone. Once you have identified your waistline, wrap the tape measure around your waist - making sure the tape measure is parallel with the ground. Record your measurement.
Hips
Measurement
Get someone to help you measure
Hip measurements can be tricky, so try to get some assistance, if at all possible. Using the mirror is essential to getting this right. Start by wrapping the tape measure around your hips. In the mirror, stand sideways, make sure the tape measure is parallel to the floor and covering the fullest part of your buttocks. Then, record your measurement.
